Valamar Riviera Hotel & Residence

This was a one bedroom apt with two extra beds in the living room and a kitchen with table and chairs. The location was very good, just a short walk to the port and the town centre. The apt was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and we were not bothered by street noise or other tenants. Upon arrival our wifi and tv were not working. They send a technician who had to get a part. We had wifi the following day. They were kind enough to give us a 10% discount on our stay for the inconvenience. This hotel also has a private island resort that we had access to via a 5 min free ferry ride. The island is surrounded by beaches, has a hiking trail and an enchanted forest for the kids. There were also lots of swimming pools but we did not have access to those and it was too cold so they were all shut down. In warmer weather it would have been a great way to spend a day relaxing. We paid for the breakfast buffet at the hotel and it was amazing. Lots of choices. Everything looked so fresh.

We had an apartment with Valamar, so we were 100 yds along the road from the hotel. A concierge took our bags along and helped us into the apartment. Reception were helpful as we arrived early but we're able to leave out bags for the time being whilst we explored Porec. We also were given access to the island across from Porec to access the beach and beach bars and given towel cards. This is via their own boat taxi, only a couple of minutes ride away. Location was fantastic being able to access everything by foot, the basilica, restaurants, bars and a gorgeous sea view. Apartment was basic, but clean and tidy.

We stayed in the apartment in the old town, which was the best combination of a hotel and an Airbnb. It had two beds and two baths, functioning a/c, and a kitchen. The connection with the hotel made check-in and -out easy. But the best part was the use of the resort amenities connected to the hotel. For free, we were able to ride the boat shuttle to the resort island and use the beach chairs and other facilities. Then it was just a quick shuttle back to the charms of the walkable old town. It was the perfect combo and a terrific value at the time of my booking.

We absolutely loved our room, location and the amazing breakfast (and brunch) included in the price of the stay. We booked a stunning Sea view room with a balcony in the main Valamar Riviera Hotel in Porec and it was incredible. The staff are so helpful and warm, in particular Dajana helped us at the front-desk to find a vineyard to visit and we had such a good visit as a result. We were also amazed that staying in the hotel in Porec meant you could get a free boat across to use the private beaches and resort pool on the island opposite called Sveti Nikola - probably one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Incredibly good value for money and just a lovely, friendly place to stay.

Beautiful location right in the harbour with a fantastic view from our hotel room. Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and later brunch included in price. Comfortable room. No access for cars, but the hotel shuttle takes you from a secure parking outside the town to and from the hotel. Convenient free boat ride across the bay to the island hotel which belongs to the same chain. Highly recommended!
